Silver Scribe Research is a boutique research practice focused on foundational, high-impact work for product-led companies. We specialize in mixed methods research that helps leadership teams make confident decisions grounded in a deep understanding of users, teams, and systems.

Together, we bring a full qualitative and quantitative research skill set, allowing the research question—not the method—to drive our approach. Our academic backgrounds in sociology, psychology, computer science, and language studies inform how we frame problems and interpret findings.

Combined with years of in-house experience at startups and established tech companies, this allows us to surface durable human truths that fuel product development and growth.

Our origin story

We met as colleagues while working in-house, where we partnered closely on some of the most rigorous and impactful research of our careers. We also really enjoyed working together! From the beginning, we shared a belief that foundational research—done well—can change the trajectory of a product or organization.

After time spent pursuing independent paths and passion projects, we found ourselves drawn back to the same kind of work: digging into complex questions, making sense of data, and translating insight into direction. Silver Scribe Research was founded to give that work the time, depth, and focus it deserves.

The Scribes

Lisa brings nearly 20 years of experience across research, design, product management, and team leadership. In addition to her strength as a mixed methods researcher, she has a rare ability to synthesize and visualize insights in ways that help teams see, and act on, what the data reveals.

Marie brings more than 10 years of experience in research, strategy, and professional writing. A highly skilled interviewer, she draws on her background in sociology and intercultural communication to surface nuanced insights and connect individual experiences to broader patterns.

Outside of research

When we’re not deep in research, we’re usually making things, fixing things, being physically active, or chasing curiosity wherever it leads. For Lisa, this usually means turning metal, stones, cloth, and thrifted items into art. Marie, on the other hand, is often traveling, writing, surfing, or learning a new language.This hands-on, always-learning mindset shows up in how we approach our work—and how we partner with our clients.
